Bulk white spherical silica gel is a high-purity desiccant packaged in a sealed 25 kg HDPE drum. Its specific spherical shape ensures more uniform distribution inside containers, greater resistance to breakage, and consistent performance even under repeated thermal cycles. It is particularly suitable for technical and industrial applications where effective and long-lasting humidity control is required.

Compared to the granular version, the spherical shape is preferred in dehumidification systems, cartridge dryers and dry-air equipment due to better airflow regularity and compatibility with standardized devices.

      Product Features

Composition: purified silicon dioxide in spherical form.

Properties: odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, non-corrosive, chemically inert.

Structure: regular spherical shape, highly porous with extended active surface area.

      Standard particle size: 2–5 mm

Stability: non-deliquescent, remains dry on the surface even when fully saturated, without releasing moisture.

      Absorption Capacity

Silica gel removes moisture up to 65 °C, but performs best at room temperature (20–30 °C) and high relative humidity (60–90% RH).

Indicative absorption values depending on ambient humidity:

Relative Humidity (RH) Temperature Indicative Absorption
      20% 23 °C 12 ± 1 % (w/w)
      40% 23 °C 20 ± 2 % (w/w)
      90% 23 °C 36 ± 2 % (w/w)

      * Values obtained under laboratory conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on configuration, air flow, quantity used and container type.

      Main Applications

Spherical bulk silica gel is ideal for industrial environments requiring prolonged adsorption cycles and uniform material distribution:

      • Industrial production: moisture control in processing systems and technical plants.
      • Drying systems: used in desiccant columns, dry-air cartridges and closed-circuit equipment.
      • Laboratories and chemical sector: drying of gases and humidity-controlled test environments.

      Packaging and Availability

Packaged in a sealed 25 kg HDPE drum, ideal for continuous industrial use.

Also available in other sizes: 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg and 30 kg, to suit different operational needs.

All formats are generally available for immediate delivery. Online purchase, even in small quantities, allows flexible inventory management and supports logistics for labs, companies and industrial use.

      Safety and Compliance

Silica gel complies with European non-toxicity regulations. It is free from cobalt chloride and DMF (dimethyl fumarate), in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 412/2012. Safe, inert and stable product for a wide range of non-food industrial applications.
