Bulk Adsorbents and Process Supports for Industrial Applications
Technical materials for air, gas and liquid treatment in industrial processes
Material selection in industrial processes directly impacts operational continuity, plant efficiency and output quality.
Our range of bulk adsorbents and technical support media is structured to meet specific application requirements: air and gas treatment, liquid purification, and protection of adsorption beds.
In this context, availability and flexibility are integral parts of the solution. Immediate stock availability and multiple packaging options – from technical lots for testing and sampling to full industrial volumes – allow rapid stock replenishment, reduce plant downtime and support scalable supply planning.
Operational simplicity is the foundation of our working approach.
Industrial Air and Gas Treatment
In many industrial plants, the quality of technical gases and compressed air is a critical operational parameter. Condensation, residual moisture and molecular contaminants can compromise instruments, valves, PSA units and drying columns, affecting performance and reliability.
For this reason, different adsorbent materials are used for industrial gas drying, compressed air dehumidification and gas stream purification.
Bulk Silica Gel

Silica gel is a highly porous, chemically inert desiccant with a large internal surface area, enabling it to adsorb moisture from air and compressed gases. It contributes to dew point reduction and prevents condensation and corrosion in process systems.
It is particularly suitable for moisture control in technical air and industrial gas streams where low residual water content is required to protect equipment and maintain process performance.

Molecular Sieves
Molecular sieves are synthetic adsorbent materials with extremely uniform pore sizes, enabling high selectivity in the adsorption of water molecules and other volatile species from technical gas streams.
Thanks to their microporous structure and selectable pore sizes (3 Å, 4 Å, 5 Å and 13X), they are widely used in PSA gas separation and purification systems, deep gas drying columns and industrial stream purification processes, including the removal of mercaptans and other unwanted compounds.

Activated Alumina
Activated alumina is a highly porous and regenerable aluminum oxide adsorbent with strong affinity for water molecules and impurities in gas streams.
It is used in industrial gas and compressed air drying systems to protect valves, instruments and process columns from moisture, vapours and volatile organic compounds.
Its high mechanical and thermal resistance makes it suitable for demanding operating conditions in chemical and petrochemical plants.

Liquid and Water Treatment
In many industries, controlling the quality of process liquids and wastewater is essential to meet technical specifications and environmental regulations. In these applications, a different type of adsorbent is required:
Bulk Activated Carbon
Activated carbon is a carbon-based adsorbent with an extremely large internal surface area, suitable for removing organic compounds, odours, colour and impurities from both gas and liquid phases.
- Process water and potable water purification (removal of odours, colour and organic contaminants).
- Exhaust air and gas treatment involving volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Its non-selective adsorption properties make it suitable for a wide range of applications in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and environmental sectors.
Material quality complies with UNI EN 12915 requirements for products used in water intended for human consumption.

Process Support and Bed Protection Media
Some materials do not directly remove moisture or contaminants but are essential for maintaining the mechanical stability and operational efficiency of adsorption and catalytic beds.
Inert Ceramic Balls
Inert ceramic balls are manufactured from materials with high mechanical and thermal resistance, low internal porosity and minimal water adsorption. Their primary function is not adsorption but to:
- Provide structural support to adsorbent and catalyst beds,
- Ensure uniform distribution of gas or liquid flows within columns and reactors,
- Reduce erosion of active materials and improve bed stability during thermal and hydraulic cycles.
These properties make them suitable for petrochemical plants, catalyst bed refurbishment, reaction towers and industrial process systems where durability and structural stability are critical.
