Activated sachets of clay of 1200 grams are comparable, in terms of dehydrating capacity, to the silica gel sachets of 1000 grams.

Bentonite is a particular clay of natural origin, whose absorption capacity varies between batches. For this reason when we talk about bentonite it is correct to report its actual absorption capacity and not the weight or the actual size of the sachet, since these are irrelevant and do not at all testify to the drying capacity of the product.

The absorption capacity for this product is 2 U according to NFH system.

For clarity towards our customers we report the indicative measures of 150 x 310 mm for 50 mm of thickness and a weight of 1200 gr. about given that between one batch and another the weight of each single bentonite sachet can vary by +/- 17%

Packaging

Bentonite (activated clay) comes in grains enclosed in the material A sachet. Although the maximum permitted quantity of dust that can escape from the packaging is 10 mg/u.d. in accordance with DIN 55473, we do not recommend using bentonite sachets with optical equipment such as cameras, lenses, binoculars, etc. as any fine dust, even in minimal quantities, could cause abrasions on the surface of the lenses.

Bentonite sachets arrive sealed in heat-sealed plastic bags directly from the factory, so as to protect them from any contact with humid environments during transport or storage, thus avoiding providing the customer with a product that has already absorbed a percentage of humidity.
